The one-day fully face to face 11379NAT Course in Initial Response to a Mental Health Crisis is a nationally accredited qualification focused on workplace crisis response and psychosocial hazard management. It issues a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment and requires no online components.
The standard Mental Health First Aid course (MHFA) is a community-focused program (12 hours over 2 days, $189) that teaches you to provide initial support to someone developing a mental illness or experiencing a crisis. It issues a Mental Health First Aid certificate endorsed by Mental Health First Aid Australia. You can choose to complete an assessment with Mental Health First Aid Australia to become an ‘Accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider)’.
